Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time, including attendance at INSET days and Open Mornings. There is a requirement for some evening and weekend work during term time, and occasionally during school holiday periods

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team at St Georges Junior School. Under the direction of the Head of Catering and Assistant Head of Catering, you will demonstrate excellent craft skills and maintain the highest of standards and presentation.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Management skills are key as you will be responsible for supervising and motivating a team. You will be familiar with working in a pressured environment and producing large-scale food production, serving 625 pupils and staff on a daily basis.
As Chef Manager, you will need to manage your time effectively, working hands on in the kitchen with the production of all food. You will have fresh and current menu ideas and must be able to show flare in your work. A good financial understanding is essential as you will be required to agree standards within budget.
