Entering their 50th year of trading has enabled them to build a diverse and specialist field covering most of the UK. With that they have an opportunity for HSE Advisor / Mgr to join their team in covering London and the home counties. Job dimensions * To work and train under the direction, guidance and supervision of an experienced Senior H&S Manager. * To represent the business with pride and professionalism * Positively and actively participate in all aspects of your learning, training and skills acquisition. * Treat your colleagues, mentors and managers with respect * Take responsibility for yourself and others regarding safe working and Health & Safety standards and practices * To represent the business at skills shows and other events Tasks and responsibilities As a HSE Advisor/Mgr you will be trained to carry out the following tasks (tasks will vary depending on where you’re working): * Advise and Enforce the Groups set standards and procedures * Prepare for upcoming risks and plan opportunities * Facilitating Risk Reviews * Assist with Safe System of Work development * Complete Health & Safety inspections & assist with onsite paperwork * Developing H&S reports * Engaging the workforce on H&S matters * Carrying out stand downs and H&S campaigns * Test and trial plant / equipment solutions * Attending H&S expos * Implementing innovation with the project teams * Engaging in safety action groups * Working with client counterparts to improve standards on site * Assess and carry out skills and behavioural training * Carrying out Internal H&S audits * Support with external ISO audits * Maintaining Continuous Professional Development Skills & Attributes * Demonstrable interest in and a commitment to becoming a H&S Advisor / Mgr * Honest, trustworthy and respectful - Flexible and committed * Demonstrates a sound work ethic - Excellent communication skills * Willingness to work across multiple projects
