Job Title

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist – Special Interest in Oncology

Location

Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock.

Hours

40 hours per week (full-time). From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will reduce to 36 hours pro‑rata for part‑time staff without loss of earnings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services to women across Ayrshire.
• Provide specialist input in gynaecological oncology.
• Participate fully in clinical governance, teaching, audit and service development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across maternity, gynaecology, oncology and wider women’s health services.
• Participate in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology out‑of‑hours rota.

Essential Requirements

• Appropriate specialist training and experience in obstetrics, gynaecology and oncology.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to demonstrate right to work in the United Kingdom.
