CNC Machinist - Night Shift (Patchway)
Salary: £43,125.00 per annum
Sunday to Thursday | 10pm-6am | Permanent
We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our engineering client in Patchway on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist who is confident working independently, can think on their feet, and has strong problem‑solving skills.
Key Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist
Setting up and operating 3‑axis CNC milling machines
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Working to a "Right First Time" standard
Selecting appropriate tooling for each job
Working closely with the quality team to ensure part accuracy and traceability
Communicating equipment or tooling requirements to Engineering and Quality Managers
Experience Required
Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machinery
Confident setting and operating CNC machines, ideally CNC milling
Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
Experience with 3‑axis milling machining centres (preferred but not essential)
Ability to edit CNC programmes when required
Fanuc experience (advantageous but not essential)
Skilled in using measuring tools such as Vernier calipers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently on nights and resolve issues quickly
Previous night‑shift experience is beneficial
