Perform period-end activities to ensure proper classification and validity of financials, including manual journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure standardisation of processes and reports across sites and business units. Ensure data accuracy in general ledger and sub-ledgers by performing various controls, including reconciliations between ledgers. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of activities and transactions. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate historical data, ensuring standardisation of templates across sites and business units, and monitoring and evaluating business performance against targets. Analyse financial reporting and flow down to operational teams to explain performance and understand key drivers. Participate in operational meetings and day-to-day site management in order to help quickly identify risks and opportunities and drive financial performance. Support process improvement, process optimisation and special projects. Essential: Qualified membership of a recognised CAAB accountancy body. Strong organisational and planning skills Significant technical accounting knowledge Ability to deal with senior personnel Strong Finance/IT systems experience.
