Job ID: 4757Salary: Up to 100,000 + benefitsLocation: LondonRegion: LondonWe are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager who is looking to move into a more strategic commercial management role working for a main civil engineering contractor. Working within their highly successful pre contracts team, the candidate will be responsible for implementing a new commercial strategy to the rail business, with an emphasis on commercially influencing Design, identifying risk and opportunity and opening new opportunities in order to expand the business.This role would ideally suit a candidate from a strong main contractor major projects background who has strong commercial management experience. It is essential that the candidate has a strong will to take on a complex commercial role, away from the “front line” of project delivery.Candidate Requirements:Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management or similarMRICS Chartered – highly desirable but not essentialMain contractor experience, with a strong background delivering rail based projectsDiverse Contract experience (NEC all options, NR, Bespoke etc.)Strong character and proven track record of strong commercial influencePrevious experience working and winning tenders would be advantageousTrack record of managing a teamAbility to build relationships with high profile clients such as TFL, Network Rail, Crossrail and HS2If you believe you could be suitable for this role, please get in contact on quoting the job title and you will be directed to the correct consultant.
