Early Years Teaching Assistant

ANZUK Education is excited to partner with a renowned nursery, integrated within a large primary school in Bridgwater, West Somerset, in search for Early Years Teaching Assistant to support across EYFS and KS1. This role offers the chance to inspire within a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Location: Bridgwater, easily accessible as located on the M5 corridor
Contract Type: Full time (37 hours a week), term time only.
Salary: £20,533 per year
Start date: September 2026

Early Years Teaching Assistant Job Description:
* Be a caring Key Person, offering personalised attention and support to each child in your care
* Observe and celebrate each child's unique growth, thoughtfully planning activities that meet their individual needs
* Lead fun and engaging activities both indoors and outdoors, from circle time and storytelling to sports and cooking
* Design activities that spark joy and curiosity, tailored to each child's developmental stage and interests
* Lend a helping hand wherever needed, supporting your team and wider school team with flexibility and a positive attitude
* Contribute to a warm, collaborative environment that adapts to meet the needs of the school community
* Uphold all school policies, with a focus on health, safety, and child protection to ensure a secure environment for all
The ideal Early Years Teaching Assistant:
* Level 3 Early Years or above (Desirable)
* Committed to safeguarding and the well-being of children and young people
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
* Excellent personal organisation skills and ability to be flexible
* Positive and collaborative team worker
* Maintain an up-to-date Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
