Job summaryAs an ICT Technical Specialist, you will safeguard the digital backbone of our organisation. We warmly welcome applications for any of our roles from people from diverse backgrounds, and we are proactively encouraging applications from under-represented communities for our more senior roles, like this one.Main duties of the jobSystem Security & OperationsMaintain the day-to-day operation, configuration, rule reviews, patching, access controls, capacity checks, and backup testing for assigned firewall and security systems.Manage incident resolution, problem investigation, change implementations, and service requests to maintain high system availability.Assist with technology refreshes, service transitions, supplier management, and decommissioning under senior direction.Technical Guidance & CollaborationServe as a technical specialist, providing expert advice to the Digital Consultant, Head of Digital Infrastructure, project leads, and service owners.Identify and escalate material risks, key design decisions, and budget considerations to senior management in a timely manner.Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues, keeping patient care and customer service at the centre of your work.About usWe are Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust.
