Due to continued business growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Fire Risk Assessor to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor looking to take the next step into a senior technical role, combining hands-on Fire Risk Assessments with team leadership, quality assurance and client relationship management.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complex Fire Risk Assessments while providing technical leadership to a team of Fire Risk Assessors and specialist subcontractors.

You will be the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring assessments are delivered to the highest technical standards and within agreed timescales.

A strong background within the retail and licensed premises (pub) sectors is essential, along with excellent knowledge of current fire safety legislation and PAS 79 methodology.

Key Responsibilities Carry out complex PAS 79-compliant Fire Risk Assessments across a range of commercial premises.

Lead, mentor and support a team of Fire Risk Assessors.

Manage and coordinate external subcontracted Fire Risk Assessors.

Review, validate and quality assure Fire Risk Assessment reports prior to issue.

Audit completed Fire Risk Assessments to ensure technical accuracy, consistency and compliance with legislation and company standards.

Act as the main technical contact for clients, providing professional fire safety advice and guidance.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery.

Provide practical, risk-based recommendations to support compliance and improve fire safety standards.

Assist with workload planning, technical support and continuous improvement across the Fire Risk Assessment team.

Ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated fire safety guidance.

The Person Recognised Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent).

Minimum of 5 years' experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of commercial building types.

Proven experience within the retail and pub/licensed premises sectors.

Previous experience supervising, mentoring or leading Fire Risk Assessors.

Experience managing subcontractors or external technical resources.

Strong report validation and technical auditing experience.

Excellent understanding of PAS 79 and current UK fire safety legislation.

Membership of a recognised fire safety professional body.

Excellent communication, organisational and client management skills.

Full UK driving licence. xwzovoh

Willingness to travel nationally.
