Job Description Senior Regulatory Lawyer – Fitness to Practise, 5+ Years’ Experience, London / Hybrid, £57,804 - £74,526 DOE. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Regulatory Lawyer to join a well-established regulatory organisation in a senior leadership role. Job Ref: 5440 OVERVIEW: /n The successful Senior Regulatory Lawyer will provide strategic oversight of complex regulatory casework undertaken by external legal providers, ensuring investigations and hearing preparation are managed to the highest professional standards. You will act as a senior source of legal advice on complex, sensitive and high-risk Fitness to Practise matters, providing guidance throughout regulatory investigations and proceedings. The role will also involve leading and developing a team of legal professionals, monitoring the quality, performance and compliance of external providers, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders on governance, quality assurance and policy development. You may also be required to deputise for senior leadership when appropriate. WHAT THE ORGANISATION IS LOOKING FOR: /n Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Barristers with at least 5 years' experience and a strong background in Fitness to Practise matters within a regulatory environment. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and people management experience, together with a track record of managing external legal providers and advising on complex regulatory investigations and proceedings. Experience within a public sector or regulatory setting would be advantageous. Strong legal judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across a range of stakeholders are also essential. /n This hybrid role requires attendance at the office for 1–2 days per week, with the remainder of the working week undertaken remotely.
