Site HSE Advisor Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture Project. Contract Details * Outside IR35 * Negotiable Day Rate – depends on experience level * Contract Duration until 2028/29 * 5.5 Days per week (Saturday mornings when required) * Weekly Pay * Talacre, North Wales (fully site based) * Start Aug/Sept Ceto Talent is recruiting for an experienced Site HSE Advisor to join one of the UK's largest carbon capture energy transition projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term major EPC project supporting the safe delivery of major onshore and offshore construction activities as part of the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture & Storage development. Working alongside the Field HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across this carbon capture project, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, company procedures and project requirements throughout the construction phase. What is this package of work? New construction through to commissioning of an electrically driven CO₂ (carbon) compression facility at an existing oil and gas terminal. The new facility will connect the onshore and offshore elements of the wider HyNet development. Captured CO₂ from industrial sites across North West England and North Wales will be transported through a pipeline network to the terminal, compressed and transferred offshore for permanent storage in depleted natural gas reservoirs beneath Liverpool Bay in the Irish Sea. Responsibilities * Drive HSE awareness through workforce engagement, coaching and training. * Carry out site HSE inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and legislation. * Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and equipment compliance. * Support HSE risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and safe systems of work. * Oversee Permit to Work activities and hazardous material controls. * Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, implementing HSE corrective actions. * Monitor and report HSE KPIs and project performance. * Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture across site. * Ensure HSE environmental compliance and support sustainable working practices. * Support the wider HSE team throughout the delivery of this major energy infrastructure project. Requirements * Must have HSE Advisor experience working on New Construction projects such as; Energy from Waste, Recovery Facilities, Nuclear New Build, or Oil & Gas related projects. * Offshore project experience is an advantage, but not essential. * Experience working for the principal contractor/main contractor. * Strong knowledge of activities in construction design regulation management and survey/investigation. Qualifications: * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification, or Engineering related field. * ISO45001 Lead Auditor Certification Other: * Must have existing right to live and work in the UK without a visa restriction until 2029.
