About the role
Role: Procurement Officer
Type: Interim contract (initial 6 months, strong potential to become permanent)
Salary: c£22 per hour - £39,862 - £42,839 pa, pro rata for part-time
Hybrid: Minimum 2 days per week in office
Location: Warwickshire
The role can either be part-time at 29.6 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days) or full-time, 37 hours per week
Sellick Partnership is partnering with a public sector organisation in Warwickshire to recruit a Procurement Officer on an interim basis, with strong potential for the role to become permanent.
This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their experience within a structured public sector environment, supporting a varied procurement workload and contributing to service improvement.
The responsibilities of the Procurement Officer will include:
Supporting end-to-end procurement activity, including assisting with tender exercises and documentation
Working with stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are followed and compliant
Assisting with evaluation processes and contract award activity
Supporting supplier engagement and contract management activities
Contributing to the maintenance of procurement records, systems, and contract registers
Undertaking basic spend analysis to support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
Providing advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement processes where required
Supporting general procurement administration, including FOI responses and website updates
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Officer role will have:
Experience within procurement, ideally in a Local Government or a Public Sector organisation
Understanding of procurement processes and tendering activity
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Good analytical and organisational abilities
CIPS qualified or equivalent qualification
A proactive and collaborative approach to work
