The job
As HR MANAGER UK, you will take responsibility for all HR activities across Oleon’s UK organization. This is a broad and hands-on role in an international environment, where you support both business and our people. You will work closely with local management, employees and the Group HR team to build a positive, engaged and high-performing workplace. Because regular presence across our UK sites is important, this role is fully office-based and requires flexibility to travel between locations.
- You act as the main HR point of contact for managers and employees in the UK, offering clear, practical and reliable support on a wide range of HR topics.
- You support and guide the local HR team to ensure a professional, efficient and people-focused HR service.
- You are a partner of local management on employee relations, performance, engagement, organizational development and workforce planning.
- You translate Oleon’s Group HR approach into local actions that fit the needs of the UK organization.
- You advise managers on people management topics in a fair, consistent and constructive way, always balancing business needs with employee care.
- You help strengthen employee engagement, motivation and retention by turning feedback and business input into concrete improvement actions.
- You identify training and development needs and support initiatives that help employees and teams grow.
- You ensure that HR policies, processes and practices are up to date, well understood and compliant with UK employment legislation.
- You contribute to HR administration, reporting and the follow-up of key HR processes in a structured and accurate way.
- You build constructive relationships with internal and external partners and ensure clear communication across the business.
Who are we looking for?
You'll succeed if:
- You are an experienced HR Manager with a proven track record in a broad HR role.
- You have worked in an international or global environment and understand how to balance local needs with group expectations.
- You are CIPD Level 7 qualified, or you have gained an equivalent level of HR expertise through experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, chemical or industrial environment is considered a strong asset.
- You have a solid understanding of UK employment law and know how to apply it in a pragmatic, business-oriented way.
- You are comfortable working in a fully office-based role and travelling between UK sites when needed. A valid driving license is therefore required.
- You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, also in more challenging situations.
- You handle confidential information with integrity, discretion and sound judgement.
- You are well organized, accurate and able to manage several priorities while keeping a clear overview.
- You have strong IT skills and are confident using Microsoft Office applications and HR-related systems.
