Head of HR - FTC - Hybrid

Hays are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a public sector organisation in Ipswich at a pivotal time of transformation. With large-scale organisational change underway and the move to new unitary councils on the horizon, this is a rare opportunity to be part of something genuinely impactful, helping to shape how HR services are delivered in the future. Your new role This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of HR operations while also contributing to wider change initiatives. As an experienced HR Manager, you'll lead a broad range of operational and advisory HR activities and also work closely with the Employee Relations Manager. Lead key HR functions including HR administration, payroll/HRIS, and learning & development Act as a trusted advisor on HR and employment law matters Support and guide complex employee relations cases Drive improvements in HR processes, systems, and service delivery Support organisational change, including restructures and transformation activities What you'll need to succeed You’ll be a confident and credible HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong generalist HR experience including TUPE, organisational change Strong stakeholder management and communication skills This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in a major transformation programme, leading and influencing across core HR functions while working closely with senior stakeholders.
