About the Role
Our client, a high-performing and ambitious secondary school in West London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding 2iC of Mathematics to join their successful and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven mathematics specialist to play a key leadership role in shaping the curriculum and driving exceptional outcomes for students up to Key Stage 5.
Key Responsibilities
*
Support the Head of Department in leading and developing the Mathematics faculty
*
Take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across KS3–KS5
*
Lead on curriculum planning, assessment, and data analysis to raise student attainment
*
Mentor and support teaching staff, including ECTs and trainees
*
Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies and initiatives
*
Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and academic excellence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics
*
Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to KS5
*
Demonstrable leadership experience within a school setting (e.g. Key Stage Lead, Second in Department)
*
A track record of improving student outcomes
*
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
*
A passion for education and commitment to student success
