Service Technician – Horticultural Machinery

The Role

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will take responsibility for maintaining, repairing, and servicing horticultural machinery provided through our sales department. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on a range of horticultural equipment
• Service and maintain machinery to ensure reliability and performance
• Work across various types of equipment, including grass, garden, utility, and small agricultural machines
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues using up-to-date diagnostic tools and software
• Deliver a high level of customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone
• Operate effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Follow safe working practices, including handling heavier equipment when required (with appropriate support)

About You

• Experience or knowledge of domestic or professional grass machinery is beneficial
• Solid understanding of horticultural, garden, utility, or small agricultural equipment
• Confident in identifying and resolving hydraulic and electrical problems
• Competent in using computers and diagnostic systems
• Self-driven, with the ability to take initiative
• Holds a full, clean UK driving licence

Hourly Paid Salary: £14.18 per hour plus car and phone
