Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Work closely with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leadership teams Develop and review EHCPs and support plans Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and policies Support teachers with strategies to enhance inclusive learning environments Always promote safeguarding and student wellbeing Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it) Previous SENCO or SEND experience within a school setting Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) All candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check. xwzovoh
