About the role
Cityworx is recruiting on behalf of a leading care organisation CQC Rated OUTSTANDING for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to build strong relationships within the local community and increase the organisation's visibility and engagement.
This is an outward-facing role suited to someone who is confident networking, developing partnerships and representing an organisation professionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong community relationships.
* Develop relationships with charities, schools, businesses, voluntary organisations and community groups.
* Develop partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
* Attend networking opportunities, meetings and community events.
* Organise community events, workshops and engagement activities.
* Develop and maintain a community engagement calendar.
* Act as a key contact for community enquiries and partnership opportunities.
* Identify new community engagement opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records of contacts and engagement activity.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive community contact database.
* Follow up consistently with community contacts and partners.
* Gather community feedback and local insight.
* Identify recurring themes and opportunities for action.
* Develop community communications and promote relevant initiatives.
* Work with colleagues to identify positive community stories.
* Monitor engagement activity and report on outcomes.
* Build a broad and sustainable stakeholder network.
* Represent the organisation professionally at external events.
* Ensure community engagement is inclusive and accessible.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams.
* Contribute to community engagement strategy and initiatives.
* Work independently in an outward-facing role.
* Attend occasional evening and weekend events when required.
* Maintain awareness of good practice in community engagement and partnership working.
* Take responsibility for personal and professional development.
The Successful Candidate
You will ideally have experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, communications, programme delivery or a related role.
Experience within healthcare, social care, charity, local government or another community-focused environment would be advantageous
