SF Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing business based in Solihull to recruit a Senior Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the management accounting function, working closely with senior finance leadership and supporting the continued development of the wider finance team.
The role would suit a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking responsibility for the numbers, improving processes and supporting a business going through an exciting period of growth and change.
Key responsibilities:
Take ownership of the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts.
Lead on monthly reporting, variance analysis and providing meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders.
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and financial controls.
Work closely with the FP&A Lead to support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
Manage and support a Management Accountant, providing guidance and helping develop the team.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes.
Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to support business performance and ongoing change.
About you:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Strong experience across management accounting and month-end reporting.
Comfortable taking ownership of a finance process and working with senior stakeholders.
Previous experience supporting or managing junior finance team members.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to improve processes and adapt to a changing environment.
