Role: Trade Counter Sales - Plumbing Salary: Up to £32,000 plus bonus if targets hit paid quarterly Location: South Buckinghamshire Employment Type: Permanent / Full Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturday morning About the Client Simon Acres Group LTD are representing a well-established and customer-focused plumbing and heating merchant About the Role This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant looking to join a busy branch environment. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting daily branch operations, serving customers, processing orders, and providing expert product advice while contributing to overall branch performance. Key Responsibilities * Serve both trade and retail customers at the trade counter * Process customer orders and enquiries face-to-face and over the phone * Recommend suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements * Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business * Identify opportunities to maximise sales and support branch growth * Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner * Maintain strong product and technical knowledge across plumbing and heating supplies * Support the branch team with general operational and day-to-day duties * Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times Requirements / Skills * Previous trade counter or plumbing merchant experience essential * Background within plumbing, builders merchants, or trade environments preferred * Strong customer service and communication skills * Good industry and product knowledge within plumbing and heating supplies * Basic numeracy skills including addition and subtraction * Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required * Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player * Willingness to learn, undertake training, and develop within the role * Full UK driving licence required What’s on Offer * Competitive salary package * Pension scheme and paid holidays * Training and career development opportunities * Supportive and team-oriented working environment * Staff discount on building materials * Employee Assistance Programme * Retail discounts via Perks Membership * Branded uniform provided How to Apply This position is being handled by Simon Acres Group.
