Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract
Working Arrangements: 3-4 Days On Site
Pay Rate: £500-£600 per day
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Service Manager to join a Local Authority in the Eastern Region, supporting a Children with Disabilities Service during a key period of improvement and transformation.
This role will play a pivotal part in driving service improvement, overseeing the delivery of a Short Breaks provision, and supporting the wider Children with Disabilities Service to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support service improvement initiatives across the Children with Disabilities Service.
- Oversee the delivery, development, and quality assurance of Short Breaks provision for children and young people with disabilities.
- Drive operational excellence and embed best practice across teams.
- Support managers and practitioners through service developments and change programmes.
- Act as a key link between strategic objectives and frontline service delivery.
- Contribute to service redesign, transformation projects, and continuous improvement activity.
- Provide budget oversight and support sound financial decision-making.
Skills/Experience
- Recent management experience within a Children with Disabilities Service.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory responsibilities, and Children's Services practice.
- Proven track record of leading service improvement and successfully managing change.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on operational approach.
- Experience using Liquidlogic and performance reporting tools would be advantageous.
