Self-Employed Residential Support Worker

Your Opportunity: Lotus Recruitment is expanding its team of self-employed Residential Care Workers to support a range of children's residential homes across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. We have a variety of day, waking night and sleep-in shifts available, offering regular work for reliable and committed individuals. Key Responsibilities: * Provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people * Support the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of children in residential care * Build positive relationships and encourage independence and personal development * Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures * Maintain accurate records and complete shift handovers * Work collaboratively with permanent staff to ensure the highest standards of care Qualifications & Experience Required: * Previous experience working within a children's residential setting is essential * A caring, resilient and professional approach * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to adapt quickly to different homes and teams * Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service preferred * Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle preferred * Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, waking nights and sleep-ins Benefits: * £15.00 per hour * Flexible working to suit your availability * Variety of shifts across multiple locations * Opportunity to work with a range of established residential care providers * Ongoing support from Lotus Recruitment Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
