A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm with a strong presence in the North West is seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor/CILEX to join its growing specialist team. Your new role
You will play a key role within a collaborative Clinical Negligence team, managing your own caseload of claimant matters while also supporting senior colleagues on complex, high-value and catastrophic injury claims. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and rewarding caseload while gaining exposure to high-profile litigation and developing your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a full caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from instruction through to conclusion
Supporting senior team members on complex, multi-million-pound and catastrophic injury cases
Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard
Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy and preparation
Liaising with clients, Counsel, courts, medical experts and third parties
Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings where appropriate
Managing key dates, limitation periods and case progression proactively
Ensuring all files are maintained in line with regulatory and compliance standards (SRA, AML, Lexcel)
Participating in file audits, risk management and quality assurance processes
Contributing to a collaborative team culture, including mentoring and knowledge sharing
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with circa 4+ years' PQE in Clinical Negligence
Proven experience managing a claimant clinical negligence caseload independently
Experience assisting on complex or high-value clinical negligence matters
Strong knowledge of litigation processes and regulatory requirements
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills with a client-focused and empathetic approach
High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems
A genuine passion for clinical negligence work and achieving positive client outcomes
