Deputy Manager
to join our 3-bed therapeutic childrens home. Who has potential aspirations to manage a home in the future. (all current registered managers roles are filled at present). Working closely alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a skilled care team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high standards of therapeutic care. You will assist in managing day-to-day operations, supporting staff development, and creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment where young people can thrive. £32,178 per annum , rising to
£33,216 per annum
following successful completion of your probationary period. Sleep-In Allowance:
Paid at
£80.00 per sleep-in . On average, staff complete 2 sleep-ins per week (subject to home needs), adding between
£8,320 to £9,600 annually . Estimated Average Earnings:
£40,498 to £42,816 per annum
(inclusive of basic pay and average sleep-in duties). Enhanced Overtime Rate:
Highly competitive overtime structure. Any hours worked above 173 per month attract an
additional £7.00 per hour on top of your standard basic hourly rate , offering fantastic potential to increase overall income. Bank Holidays:
Paid at
time-and-a-half . Additional Benefits & Rewards Monthly Bonus Scheme:
Eligibility for a monthly bonus (dependent upon home occupancy and specific performance criteria). Travel & Expenses:
Mileage expenses reimbursed via monthly mileage claim submissions. Paid meals:
taken during expected meal time at the home. Annual Leave Entitlement:

Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in the operational management and leadership of the 3-bed therapeutic home. Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager to maintain continuous safeguarding, high standards of care, and compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015. Provide direct leadership, coaching, and supervision to the residential care team working alongside colleagues on rota. Role-model trauma-informed care and relational practice when supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Collaborate effectively with placing authorities, social workers, health professionals, and families. Oversee shift management, care planning, risk management, and regulatory record-keeping. Requirements Significant experience in a Senior or Deputy role within a residential children's home setting. Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Commitment to holding or working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. Strong knowledge of the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to hold business insurance and use of own vehicle for business use.
