Senior Estimator water

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading contractor delivering a major water framework. This role will play a key part in supporting the pre-construction and tendering function across a portfolio of water and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates from first principles for water and wastewater projects Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work Develop robust pricing strategies for bids and framework opportunities Liaise with design, commercial, and operational teams to ensure accurate and competitive submissions Manage and coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries and pricing returns Assess project risks and opportunities and incorporate into tender submissions Support bid reviews and ensure all submissions are compliant and commercially competitive Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive successful tender outcomes Requirements: Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within civil engineering or utilities for a tier one or principal contractor within the UK Strong background working on water sector projects (AMP frameworks desirable) Experience pricing works from first principles through to final submission Good understanding of NEC forms of contract Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar technical discipline If you are interested in this role, then kindly lodge your CV here now
