A nurturing and forward-thinking early years setting in Chester, part of an award-winning nursery chain, are seeking a passionate, proactive Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team, help drive high-quality education, and support their dedicated staff team in delivering the best possible outcomes for children.
The Role
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead by example. Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Management: Supporting the manager in all aspects of nursery operations, including compliance with EYFS standards and Ofsted regulations.
Leadership & Mentoring: Leading, motivating, and inspiring staff, supporting their professional development, and helping with recruitment and inductions.
Child Care & Quality: Ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained, and acting as a lead for safeguarding and SEND.
Partnership with Parents: Building strong relationships with families to ensure a collaborative approach to their children's learning.
Absence Coverage: Leading and coaching in the manager's absence
Requirements:
Qualifications: A full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or higher) is essential.
Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or Senior Practitioner in a nursery setting.
Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification (desirable)
English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.
Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Attitude: A positive, flexible, and dedicated leader ready to take the next step in their career.

Hours of Work: Full time, Monday -Friday
