Your work will directly support business performance, helping Finance make better decisions through high-quality, scalable data solutions.Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is flexible with occasional travel to our #Exeter or #London offices. You'll work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and modelling through to reporting and insight generation, while helping to shape engineering standards, tooling choices and ways of working. Working with large and complex datasets, you'll play a key role in modernising how Finance uses data and analytics to drive business outcomes.Who You AreAs a Senior Data Engineer, you're an experienced technical leader who combines strong data engineering expertise with the ability to guide and develop others. You're comfortable leading delivery in an agile environment, providing technical direction, and balancing hands-on engineering with mentoring and stakeholder engagement. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…Experience leading or mentoring engineers within agile delivery environmentsStrong experience designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions, from ingestion and transformation through to reporting and analyticsExcellent knowledge of SQL and modern data warehousing technologies, ideally including SnowflakeExperience with data engineering and automation tooling such as Python, DBT, CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworksStrong understanding of data modelling, data integration and ETL processesExperience working with large and complex datasets within enterprise environmentsAbility to influence technical decisions and promote engineering best practiceStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersWhat You'll Be DoingLeading the delivery of scalable data products that support Finance reporting, analytics and decision-makingActing as a technical lead and mentor, supporting the growth and development of engineers within the teamDriving engineering excellence through best practice, automation, testing and continuous improvementCollaborating with stakeholders across Finance, technology and analytics teams to understand requirements and deliver valuable solutionsSupporting agile delivery, helping to prioritise work and ensuring successful outcomes against business objectivesWorking with large and complex datasets to develop reliable, scalable and sustainable data solutionsHelping shape the future direction of the Finance data capability, including tooling, standards and ways of workingSupporting the operational performance, monitoring and reliability of data platformsAdditional InformationSuccess is Personal.
