About the role

We’re working with an established pharmaceutical Manufacturer to recruit an EHS Lead for its manufacturing site in Livingston. This is a highly visible role where you’ll take responsibility for coordinating the site’s EHS and sustainability programme, supporting regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across the facility.


The Role


You’ll act as a key EHS specialist on site, working closely with operational and leadership teams to:

  • Own and support site EHS & Sustainability programmes
  • Conduct and improve risk assessments and drive effective CAPAs
  • Maintain EHS management systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
  • Manage and develop COSHH processes and chemical assessments
  • Support waste management and environmental sustainability initiatives
  • Provide EHS advice, guidance and training to operational teams
  • Maintain regulatory/legal registers and stay ahead of changing requirements
  • Support emergency response planning
  • Build effective relationships with relevant regulators
  • Lead and support site and group-level EHS projects


What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll bring:


  • 2+ years’ experience within safety, environmental or engineering-related positions
  • Knowledge of chemical, pharmaceutical and/or environmental processes
  • A degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Biology, Toxicology or a related discipline — or significant equivalent EHS experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive improvements
  • Professional EHS certification such as IOSH, CSP, CIH, CHMM or CHCM would be advantageous
