Assembly Operative - Peterlee Are you a meticulous individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are hiring an Assembly Operative to join our energetic team in Peterlee! Role Overview As an Assembly Operative, you will be a key player in our production process, ensuring that our products are assembled to the highest standards. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract running until November 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 36.5 hours per week. Responsibilities Assemble components and products following detailed work instructions. Operate air and battery-powered tools, including torque wrenches, to complete assembly tasks. Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all output meets company standards. Always maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Proactively report any defects or production issues to the line leader. Work collaboratively to ensure daily production targets are consistently achieved. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment. Proven ability to read and interpret technical work instructions. Excellent hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to remain focused and efficient in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Eagerness to learn new processes and strictly adhere to company safety procedures. What We Offer Competitive Pay: Day shift: £17.01 - £19.55 per hour Afternoon shift: £20.41 - £23.46 per hour Night shift: £22.96 - £26.39 per hour Bonuses: Monthly attendance bonus and monthly truck bonuses. Overtime: Frequent opportunities available; paid at time and a half (Monday-Saturday) and double time on Sundays.
