The Role…
At Soho House, a
Barback
plays an essential supporting role in the smooth and efficient operation of the bar. Working alongside the bar team, you’ll ensure that bartenders have everything they need to deliver fast, high-quality service to our members and guests.
Your main responsibility is to assist the bar staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver drinks orders from the bar to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the bar and the floor.

Key duties…
Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment
Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
Polishing glassware ensuring they are ready for service.
Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies from storage or cellar.
Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
What we are looking for...
2 - 3 years’ experience in similar capacity
Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards, and stock rotation.
Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
The salary range for this role if filled within the UK is listed below. The range for the position in different geographies may vary based on market differences. Pay Range£14.50£14.50 GBP
