Senior Planning Officer Location: Harrow, Forward Drive, Harrow, HA3 f Pay Rate: £38 per hour Umbrella Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract Working Arrangement: Hybrid We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Planning Officer to join on a 6-month rolling contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with strong development management experience to work within a busy local authority environment. Main Duties: Processing a varied caseload of planning applications, including complex minor applications and small-scale major developments Managing lawful development certificates and prior approval applications Carrying out site visits and assessments Providing duty planner and pre-application advice services Presenting applications and recommendations at Planning Committee meetings Managing appeal casework and preparing supporting documentation Requirements: Previous experience working within a local authority planning team Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and development management processes Experience handling complex planning applications independently Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively This role offers hybrid working arrangements alongside the opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic planning team.
