About the role
Our client, an established family-run business, are looking for an experienced mechanic to assist in the servicing and repair of small to mid-sized farming/horticultural equipment.
As an Agricultural Engineer you will join a workshop team providing service, maintenance, and repair solutions for a range of tractors, mowers, sprayers, woodchippers, forestry and stone crushing machinery as well as garden machinery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Service, repair, and diagnose faults on agricultural machinery.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure machinery is ready for use.
- Use diagnostic tools
- Collect and return machinery from clients
- Maintain customer relationships.
You will need:
- Experience in agricultural/horticultural machinery repair (e.g., tractors, self-propelled mowers, chippers, and chainsaws)
- Strong mechanical background
- Strong communication and IT skills
- Own hand tools
- Driving licence
You will need a driving licence/access to a vehicle to access the semi-rural location and to collect/return machinery from clients
Hours of Work
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Optional overtime on a Saturday to meet business needs
