Mechanical Project Engineer to work on a large substation project for the next 1 2 years in Ipswich, Suffolk Paying £425 450 a day Outside IR35 Site/ Home working Long Term We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a strong mechanical background to support a major substation project based in Ipswich.

Role Overview The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering substation works, coordinating engineering activities, supporting site teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Requirements Proven experience working as a Project Engineer within the utilities, power, or energy sector Strong mechanical engineering background Previous experience working on substation projects is essential Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities Strong understanding of HSE and quality standards Excellent communication and organisational skills Responsibilities Support delivery of substation installation and upgrade works Review engineering drawings and technical documentation Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors Ensure works xwzovoh are completed in line with programme and specifications Assist with planning, reporting, and project coordination Maintain high safety and quality standards throughout delivery Contract Details Location: Ipswich Start Date: July / August 2026 Duration: 12 months Rate: £400 £450 per day Contract: Outside IR35 Please ring Ollie at HP4 Recruitment or send your CV on the details listed.
