About the role

The Role

A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Enfield is seeking a Key Stage 2 Teacher to take on a Year 5 class from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school has a supportive senior leadership team, strong behaviour policies, and a collaborative staff culture. This role would suit a teacher who is confident in upper KS2 and comfortable preparing pupils for the transition into Year 6.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons for a Year 5 class
  • Assess and track pupil progress, ensuring all learners are supported
  • Differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Work closely with the year group team and support staff
  • Contribute to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (ideally Year 5 or 6)
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Has a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and expectations
  • Is reliable, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
Desirable
  • Experience preparing pupils for SATs
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and data tracking
