Morson Edge are working with a large retail client on a key programme, and we're are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of critical initiatives across digital services.
This is a high-impact role where you'll take ownership of solution architecture across multiple projects, with a strong focus on AWS and serverless technologies.
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will :
Lead the end-to-end architecture for key programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals
Produce and present High-Level Designs (HLDs) covering both functional and non-functional requirements
Design AWS-native, serverless architectures using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and SQS
Embed Security by Design, leveraging IAM, KMS, WAF and other AWS services
Define and manage non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience, performance, and cost optimisation
Present designs at governance forums (e.g. Technical Design Authority, Cyber Security)
Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders
Provide oversight and assurance of third-party architectural solutions
What We're Looking For Proven experience operating as a Senior Solution Architect within large, complex environments
Strong track record of producing HLDs (including logical & deployment views, sequence diagrams, NFRs)
Deep understanding of AWS architecture, ideally with serverless expertise
Experience designing xwzovoh event-driven and integration-based solutions
Strong knowledge of security and identity management principles
Confident communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in retail environments (e.g. POS, branch systems) is beneficial but not essential
Tech Environment AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, IAM, KMS, WAF)
Serverless & event-driven architectures
API-led integration patterns
Multi-channel digital platforms
