Resource Planning Manager Contract450 per day | Inside IR35 | Bristol - 3 days per week onsiteWe are looking for an experienced contractor to take ownership of resource planning and resource management across a busy, project-led environment.This is not a traditional governance-heavy PMO role. The focus is on ensuring that the organisation has clear, accurate visibility of its people, capacity and future resource requirements. You will work with project and operational leaders to identify demand, resolve resource conflicts and improve how resources are allocated across competing priorities.Key responsibilitiesOwn and maintain resource plans using Deltek, Polaris or a comparable resource-management platformProvide an accurate view of current capacity, utilisation and future demandCoordinate the allocation and scheduling of people across projects and programmesIdentify resource gaps, over-allocation and potential delivery constraintsWork with project managers and senior stakeholders to understand changing requirementsProduce clear management information covering utilisation, availability and resource forecastsSupport forward planning, workforce decisions and recruitment requirementsImprove the quality, consistency and reliability of resource dataDevelop practical resource-planning processes where existing arrangements need strengtheningWhat we're looking forStrong, demonstrable experience in resource planning, resource management or workforce planningPractical experience using Deltek, Polaris or a closely related resource-planning systemExperience managing resources across multiple projects, teams or workstreamsStrong analytical skills and confidence working with capacity, utilisation and demand dataAbility to identify conflicts and turn resource information into clear recommendationsConfident stakeholder-management skillsComfortable operating independently and bringing structure to a changing environmentExperience within a consultancy, professional-services, engineering or project-led organisation would be advantageousThis position could suit an experienced Resource Planning Manager, Resource Manager, Workforce Planning Manager, PMO Resource Manager or Project Resource Analyst.
