Senior Engineering Operations Manager

to lead the engineering and technical operations of a prestigious Central London portfolio. This is a senior operational role suited to an engineering professional with a strong background in

commercial building services, critical environments, and facilities management . Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day engineering operations across a prestigious Central London portfolio.

Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, BMS, critical power, and associated building services.

Manage and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and technical specialists.

Ensure planned, reactive, and statutory maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed SLAs.

Take ownership of engineering performance, system reliability, resilience, and operational standards.

Lead the management of critical engineering incidents, including escalation, recovery, and root-cause analysis.

Manage specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners, ensuring quality and contractual compliance.

Work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver a high-quality engineering service.

Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, operational resilience, and engineering innovation.

Monitor KPIs, compliance, maintenance performance, risks, and engineering trends, providing regular reports to senior management.

Support commercial management, budgeting, forecasting, and the identification of additional works and improvement projects.

Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, statutory requirements, and company procedures.

About You Strong engineering background within commercial building services or facilities management.

Proven experience managing engineering teams within a complex or critical environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.

Experience managing PPM, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and critical engineering infrastructure.

Confident managing clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Engineering qualification or relevant professional accreditation preferred.
