Electrical Inspector Defence Manufacturing Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester

We are supporting a leading UK Defence manufacturing organisation in their search for an experienced Electrical Inspector to join an established production and certification team.

This is a hands-on inspection role, focused on electrical builds, cable assemblies and wiring , working to IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards within a regulated, high-quality manufacturing environment.

What Youll Be Doing
Certifying electrical products in line with approved processes and procedures
Inspecting electrical connections, cable assemblies, harnesses and finished builds
Identifying faults, damage, surface defects and non-conformances
Completing and certifying manufacturing data packs and inspection records
Monitoring and supporting operators within the Product Certification Scheme
Raising and controlling non-conforming items
Supporting audits and maintaining inspection and workmanship standards
Working safely and in compliance with all manufacturing and quality procedures

What Were Looking For
Essential
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard
or
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
and
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved
( These qualifications must meet the standard to be considered for the role ).
Several years experience as a skilled person in a manufacturing or inspection environment
Experience inspecting the work of others
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Desirable
IPC-610 and/or IPC-620 certification or working knowledge
Experience within Defence, Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing
Manual handling and ESD awareness
