Assistant Site Manager – Facades & Cladding Location: SE1, London Position: Permanent Sector: Facades & Cladding – Commercial & Residential Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating within the facades and cladding sector, delivering high-quality solutions across a range of commercial and residential projects throughout London. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role As an Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to support the successful delivery of facade and cladding packages on site. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site activities. * Assisting with the coordination and supervision of subcontractors and site operatives. * Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety across the project. * Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. * Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings. * Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders. * Maintaining accurate site records and documentation. * Supporting the Site Manager in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required standard. * Identifying and reporting any issues or potential delays to the project team. About You The successful candidate will have: * Proven experience working as an Assistant Site Manager within the construction industry. * Experience working on facades, cladding or external envelope projects is highly desirable. * Experience within commercial and/or residential construction projects. * A strong understanding of site health & safety requirements. * The relevant CSCS and site management tickets/certifications required for the role. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * The ability to coordinate subcontractors and work effectively as part of a wider project team. * A proactive approach with good attention to detail. * The ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
