Engineering Manager Corby, Northamptonshire Monday to Friday Up to £70,000 Benefits include pension, 6.6 weeks holiday, profit share, GP services An established food manufacturing business is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead site engineering and facilities operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring all assets are maintained to a safe, reliable and efficient standard in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will take ownership of the engineering function, driving performance, developing the team and delivering continuous improvement across maintenance, projects and site services. This role requires a strong leader who can balance strategic planning with hands on operational control. Key responsibilities Lead and coordinate all engineering activities to support business objectives and operational performance Plan, manage and control the maintenance budget to deliver plant performance and cost targets Develop, train and manage the engineering team, including effective use of external contractors Ensure availability of spares and consumables to support production and minimise downtime Plan and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise plant uptime and reliability Set engineering standards, measure performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives Ensure full compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements across all engineering activity Plan and deliver maintenance of site utilities to ensure efficiency and reliability within budget Lead capital projects from feasibility through to installation and successful commissioning Work closely with senior leadership to plan, prioritise and deliver engineering projectsRequirements Experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment Proven experience in an engineering management or senior engineering leadership role Strong understanding of maintenance strategy, reliability and plant performance Experience managing budgets and engineering teams NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or strong HSE awareness Ability to lead, influence and communicate effectively at all levels Strong organisational skills with a structured and disciplined approachYou will be someone who can lead from the front, build strong relationships across the business and drive engineering performance in a fast paced manufacturing environment
