Job title: PCN General Practitioner

Location: Edith Cavell Surgery

Salary: £99,000 FTE (annual salary up to £112,500 depending on experience and £11,000 per session for newly qualified GPs)

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality clinical care to patients registered and attending the GP surgery, working closely with clinical leads and local practice teams to support the surgery’s operational plan.
  • Maintain practice standards by participating in clinical governance activities and contributing to improvements in health outcomes through audit, the Quality and Outcomes Framework and other quality standards, including CQC.
  • Provide clinical care as outlined in the job plan and the triage model, including in‑person and video consultation sessions, telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews, prescription signing, other clinical administration, safeguarding, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on‑call duties (excluding out‑of‑hours).
  • Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards set by the GMC and prioritise individual patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to develop, deliver and review the surgery action plan, including list growth, patient satisfaction, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current registration with the GMC and NHS Performers List, actively engaged in clinical work.
  • Experienced doctor with GP accreditation – MRCGP examination or equivalent.
  • Clear commitment to delivering quality, patient‑focused services.
  • Sound knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and appropriate coding.
  • Working knowledge of clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMISweb (preferred).
