Aviation- Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a Utilities Surveyor to join our Survey team.

With a primary focus on our key clients at Heathrow and Gatwick airport. On occasion you may be supporting our wider Transport Highways, Rail, Aviation, Defence and Adjacent Markets sectors covering projects around the Southeast, Midlands and Manchester.

What will you be doing?

The Survey team provides technical services to a range of construction related disciplines, including invaluable support to our divisional teams and departments within design and construction

phases of projects.

This role is suitable for experienced utilities surveyors wishing to transfer their existing skill set to our Geomatics

Industry, looking to progress their career to the next level.

Support the team undertaking utility and or land surveys

Responsible for excellent safety, standards and quality being maintained throughout the project.

Excellent ability to communicate with all departments of the internal survey and other project teams.

Due to the nature of our projects (Airside & Landside operations) you MUST be prepared to

work nights

when required, and meet certain security checks in order to access controlled work environments.

What you’ll bring

Experienced in utility surveying

Good knowledge of PAS128 and its standards

Basic land surveying skills, including site setting out

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to interpret technical information and drawings

Compiling survey reports

Full UK driving license

5yr Traceable employment / studying records

Ability and willingness to work flexibly (shift / away from base location)

Basic computer skills (Excel, Word etc)

Ability to work as part of a team and desire to learn new skills or develop existing.

Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement.

Desirable:

Experience of using GPR scanners, GPS and RD series equipment

Working on Railway projects

Laser scanning

PTS accreditation

Permit To Dig experience

Holder of CSCS accreditation

Ability to interpret technical information and drawings

Level 3/4/5 QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying
