Lead Engineer | £250 per Day Umbrella PAYE | Mobile Role | Government Sites Contract Opportunity Location: Cambridge or Kent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead engineer to join a long-term contract delivering maintenance and compliance services across multiple government sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled electrical professional with strong supervisory experience to work on a mobile basis, supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring high standards of delivery.
Key Job Details £200
- 250 per day (Umbrella) Contract Length: 6 months initial (ongoing potential) Start Date: Immediate Location: Mobile (MOJ & Home Office sites)
- Cambridge or Kent Working Hours: 8:00am
- 5:00pm Lead Engineer Responsibilities Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems and plant Supervise and support electrical teams across multiple sites Install and commission electrical plant and equipment Ensure all works meet industry standards and compliance requirements Maintain asset records and provide condition updates Liaise with engineering teams to ensure efficient service delivery Identify additional works and prepare cost estimates Compliance & Supervisory Duties Perform quality audits (QS duties) on both in-house and subcontractor works Ensure all electrical installations comply with current regulations Key Requirements To be considered for this Senior Electrical Supervisor role, you must have: ECS Gold Card (Essential) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) AM1 & AM2 qualifications 2391 Test & Inspection certification 5-10 years' electrical experience Desirable Qualifications NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor (QS) experience Authorised Person (Low Voltage) Why Apply?
