About the role
Pertemps are currently recruiting 7.5T Drivers to join our client’s Street Cleaning Team in Edinburgh. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support environmental services by collecting bulky household items and helping keep local communities clean and safe.
Location: EH16 4TB
Hours: 4 days on / 4 days off – 06:00 to 17:02 (45-minute break)
Pay: £14.51 – £16.23 per hour
Duration: Temporary – ongoing work
The 7.5T driver will:
Driving a 7.5-ton vehicle as part of the bulk uplift service
Collecting bulky household items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc.)
Working with the crew to safely lift, load, and remove items from properties
Following planned routes and schedules efficiently
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Interacting with the public professionally when required
Maintaining excellent safety standards at all times
Street cleansing duties are required. Such as, litter picking, sweeping, removing weeds and leaves etc
The 7.5T driver requires:
Valid UK driving licence with C1 category
CPC qualification card and Tacho card
Experience operating larger vehicles
Good health & safety awareness
Team player with good communication skills
Physical fitness – regular lifting and manual handling is part of the role
