Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Associate (or AD) Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services Surrey/South London Borders - Hybrid & Flexible Working Patterns £70k to £85k Consultancy / Building Services / MEP / Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Associate Electrical Design Engineer / Associate Director This role is to join a well-established consultancy, specialising in mechanical, electrical building services design, with a focus on energy strategies and low carbon. Their projects include residential, health care, education, commercial and retail, they have a strong pipeline of projects and a high level of repeat business. Responsibilities Overall, this role will involve maintaining good client relationships, overseeing and guiding more junior engineers and to undertake engineering designs which will include the following. * To manage design team and provide electrical engineering support to all electrical engineers * To carry out electrical design and project management of various types of projects * Undertaking fee assessments and providing fee bids for projects * Liaise with clients, providing excellent client care. * Carry out surveys and produce reports. * Carry out quality inspections of projects. * Attend meetings on all aspects of the projects * Monitor financial aspects of projects. Experience and Qualifications * Qualified to at least HNC or Degree Level * 6 years’ experience of electrical design within building services working in a consultancy or a large contractor * Producing detailed specifications and calculations. * Management of junior staff. * Client Liaison * UK driving licence is essential
