Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background and experience working with commercial vehicles or fleet maintenance? Our client is looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their busy fleet operation. Working as part of a supportive workshop team, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs to a high standard, keeping accurate records and ensuring vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs and modifications * Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately * Complete diagnostic checks and ensure repairs are carried out correctly * Complete job cards, service records, timesheets and other documentation accurately * Develop additional technical skills through ongoing training * Attend customer sites when required Who They’re Looking For: * Experience in mechanical engineering, vehicle maintenance, or a similar environment * Relevant NVQ, mechanical engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience * Mechanical and electrical repair experience * Ability to diagnose faults and read wiring diagrams and technical information * Full UK driving licence * Flexible approach to working at different locations when required * Able to participate in both early and late shift patterns Benefits: * Overtime opportunities * 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service * Life Assurance * Enhanced Pension * Training and development to become multi skilled and broaden technical capabilities * Employee Referral Scheme * Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support If you are looking for a new opportunity to put your technical skills to work in a role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
