Job Title: Graduate Buyer (Civil Engineering)Job Summary The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for Amelio Group.

This role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and supporting project schedules.
Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing Identify and source suppliers for construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, aggregates, pipes).
Obtain and evaluate quotations, tenders, and proposals.
Issue purchase orders in line with project requirements.
Supplier Management Build and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery).
Develop alternative suppliers to reduce risk and cost.
Cost Control & Negotiation Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and cost targets.
Track market trends for construction materials and adjust strategies accordingly.
Project Coordination Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material needs.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
Resolve supply issues or delays proactively.
Compliance & Documentation Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and contract requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Support audits and reporting requirements.
Inventory & Logistics Monitor stock levels and coordinate deliveries.
Minimize waste and over-ordering.
Coordinate with logistics teams for transportation and site delivery. xwzovoh
Required Qualifications Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
Key Skills Strong negotiation and commercial awareness Knowledge of procurement processes and contracts Excellent communication and stakeholder management Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Preferred Experience Experience working on infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.) KPIs / Performance Indicators Cost savings achieved On-time delivery rate Supplier performance metrics Purchase order cycle time Budget adherence Skills: Buying Management Supplier Sourcing Supplier Relationships Purchasing Processes Benefits: Gym Flexitime Laptop Mobile Phone Paid Holidays Parking Performance Bonus
