Known for its relationship-led approach and high-quality advisory services, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and adding real commercial value.The RoleAs Client Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of clients across various sectors, acting as their main point of contact and trusted adviser. You will review accounts and tax work, provide strategic guidance and ensure the delivery of a first-class service.This role would suit a confident and commercially aware accountant who enjoys building long-term client relationships and supporting team development.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of clients, ensuring all accounting and tax matters are handled efficientlyReviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and tax returnsProviding proactive advice on budgeting, forecasting and financial performanceActing as the primary contact for clients and building strong, long-term relationshipsSupervising and developing junior team members, reviewing work and supporting their progressionEnsuring compliance with UK accounting standards and tax legislationIdentifying opportunities to provide additional advisory servicesSupporting business development and onboarding of new clientsLiaising with HMRC and other regulatory bodies when requiredRequirementsACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong practice backgroundMinimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practiceProven experience managing a client portfolioStrong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulationsConfident reviewing work and leading a teamExcellent communication skills with a client-focused approachStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlinesExperience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooksWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceA varied and engaging client portfolioClear progression opportunities within a growing firmSupportive leadership team and positive working cultureIf you are an experienced practice professional looking for a client-facing role where you can make a real impact, apply now with your CV.
