Pay: £12.71 per hour
A well?established homelessness support service based in Coventry is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join its frontline drop?in team.
The service supports people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness, providing immediate practical support and access to longer?term accommodation and specialist services.
About the Role
You will work within a busy, multi?agency drop?in environment, delivering day?to?day support to vulnerable adults. This is a varied, hands?on, and people?focused role, supporting individuals with complex needs to access safety, stability, and longer?term support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, non?judgemental drop?in service
- Offer hot drinks, food, and clothing to people who are rough sleeping
- Support individuals with housing advice and referrals to supported accommodation
- Work closely with partner agencies including mental health, substance misuse, outreach, and policing services
- Assist with benefits, form filling, and access to IT
- Maintain clear and accurate records
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and professional boundaries at all times
Working Hours
The service operates 7 days a week, and shifts vary depending on service needs:
- 7:00am - 7:00pm
- 9:00am - 4:00pm (weekdays)
- 7:00am - 4:00pm (Saturdays)
- 10:00am - 7:00pm (Saturdays & Sundays)
Flexibility to work weekends is essential.
About You
- Experience working with homelessness, housing, or vulnerable adults is desirable
- Able to work calmly and confidently in a fast? xwzovoh paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic, resilient, and solution?focused
- Comfortable supporting people facing complex challenges, including mental ill?health or substance misuse
