Teaching Assistant - Hair and Beauty

Location: Camden
🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
💷 Pay: Dependent on experience

We are looking for a confident and proactive HLTA or Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting students throughout the school day, including within the Hair & Beauty department during afternoon sessions.

The ideal candidate will be strong with behaviour management, confident de-escalating challenging situations and able to build positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement in both classroom-based and practical learning.

The Role:

Providing support to students throughout the school day.

Supporting practical Hair & Beauty sessions in the afternoons.

Managing behaviour confidently and consistently.

Supporting students with additional needs and promoting positive engagement.

Working alongside teaching staff to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

Encouraging students to develop their confidence, independence and practical skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working as a TA, HLTA or in a similar educational setting.

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

Confident supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

Patient, resilient and proactive, with a positive approach.

An interest in Hair & Beauty or vocational learning would be advantageous.
